Since 2017, the Mediterranean Waterbird Network (MWN) has been working closely with several partner organisations, in order to renew collaborations and prepare a new series of Technical Reports.
For the 2019-2023 period, thirteen countries actively participating in the MWN contributed to these reports, which provide an overview of the status of waterbird counts at the national level, and a synthesis of the results from the International Waterbird Census (IWCs) conducted during this period.
Building on the contributions of the historical North African partners (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya) and the previous session's partners (France, Spain, Greece, Turkey and Italy), five more partners contributed to this Technical Reports sessions : Albania (AOS), Serbia (BPSSS), Montenegro (NHMM), Northern Macedonia (MES) and Portugal (ICNF).
